november is here

Sunday, November 1st, 2009

November is finally here. I wasn’t so sure the month would ever arrive as I knew it would mean that I had finally finished moving our family and cleaning our old house on 10th Street. It really feels good to not have to return there now although it will be missed. Lyndsay and I will always have special memories of our life there with Meleia. The twins were conceived in this house sometime in late March. I think Lyndsay even knows the actual date.

Anyway, life in the new house has been hectic to say the least, but it’s really nice to be here and finally settling in a little. There is still much to do and hopefully accomplished over the next week or two.

Most of you know that Lyndsay went into premature labor last Sunday night, the 25th of October. It was quite the scare for both of us but the staff at Mercy Hospital here in Centerville was great – they were able to stop labor and get Lyndsay back home in about 24 Hours. We had another Ultrasound on last Monday the 26th while still at the hospital – the photos are of Baby A’s face and Baby B’s foot. Pretty cute to say the least!

And with all of this going on I still managed to continue working at Cargill and take care of a couple of clients of Dose Productions on the side. I recently finished a Brand Identity project for Doug from Concert Sound Recording. His website was another successful project of 2009. The Logo needed to portray the business clearly and I think we accomplished this quite well. The company’s logo is the most visually important part of their business. The finished product of the logo established identity with clear appeal and accomplished 3 very basic, yet very powerful results:

  • A simple, clean and visually unforgetable brand identity.
  • Portray who you are and what you do professionally.
  • Distinguish your individualism and superiority.
  • The New Brand Identity of Concert Sound Recording – concertsoundrecording.com.

I’m also doing a freebie website for Lyndsay’s Cousin. His logo was finished this morning. It’s simple and again follows the rules of a successful Brand Identity Project.

Hopefully November will bring more poetry than October. I have a million words in my head with very little time to write lately. Thanks everyone for continuing to read my work here on dosepoet.com.

I fucking love you all. Damn right.

    31 Weeks

    Sunday, October 25th, 2009

Lyndsay is now 32.5 weeks along – these ultrasound shots are from the 19th, just a week ago. There is no room left now for the babies to grow up or down, only out. So, Lyndsay’s belly will be growing out only now. Hopefully she will keep them inside for another 4 weeks or so!

Baby A – he has now changed position and is butt first, still lower than Baby B so he should still be born first.

Baby B – he’s still a little less active than Baby A although lately they have both been fighting in Lyndsay’s belly. She is running out of room for the both of them!

    27 weeks and counting

W had another Ultrasound this past Monday. The baby poets are growing perfectly and are both over 2 pounds now. It’s truly amazing how real they look on the screen – technology sure has come a long way since the births of Conner and Zachary.

We also had another Dr. appointment on Tuesday and Lyndsay will now see her Dr. once a week for the duration of her pregnancy. I’m continuing to prepare our new house for the baby poets and our family; we have now postponed our move until mid October.

Thank you readers for visiting dosepoet.com as much as you do!!! My website has never seen the traffic it currently does with well over 100 unique IP addresses daily!

    I fucking love you all,

Baby A – the trouble maker. Baby a is sitting extra low and head first ready to make his escape!

Baby B – the sleeper. He yawns quite a bit as shown in this photo below and moves much less than Baby A.
